The Pomegranate and Fig Thanksgiving Festival of the Aras UNESCO Global Geopark was held at the Kordasht Geosite, within the Kordasht Historical Complex, with the wide participation of local residents as well as local and provincial officials from the tourism and agriculture sectors. The Deputy for Cultural, Social, and Tourism Affairs of the Aras Free Zone Organization stated that the purpose of holding such festivals is to strengthen community spirit and social vitality, promote agricultural products, develop the tourism economy, and express appreciation for the efforts of gardeners and farmers. On the sidelines of this event, local producers showcased and offered their products to visitors and festival participants. According to Meysam Najafzadeh, Head of the Aras UNESCO Global Geopark Office, Aras Geopark partners were present at the Geopark infopoint, providing essential information to those interested in geotourism.
