Dr. Ghanipour, deputy director general of the East Azerbaijan department of environment, along with the head of the department of environment of Jolfa county, visited the Aras UNESCO Global Geopark. The purpose of the visit was to meet with the geopark director and the senior advisor to the geopark, and to discuss existing challenges and obstacles in certain geosites that overlap with protected areas.
