The Aras UNESCO Global Geopark Photography Infotour was held with the participation of prominent photographers from the northwest of the country.

The photography infotour, attended by 35 distinguished photographers from northwestern provinces, took place in the Aras Global Geopark. During this event, the photographers conducted field visits to the eastern geosites of the Aras Geopark and captured its geological, natural, and cultural features.

This infotour serves as a prelude to the upcoming Aras Geopark Photography Festival—an event aimed at showcasing a collection of the finest works created by photographers and further highlighting the region’s geotourism potential.

It should be noted that the first edition of the Aras Global Geopark Photography Festival-Competition will be held in February of this year. The deadline for submitting works for participation in the festival—which includes three categories: geosites and geological phenomena, natural attractions and biodiversity, and tangible and intangible cultural heritage—is January 20. The judging and selection of works will take place on January 30.
